Building the Hoi Yen Bridge
Nam Yen and An
Ðinh villages have 324 households between them with 1,370 residents.
Among them are 400 children of school age. The villages are in mountainous
terrain, surrounded by the Cu De River and Hoi Yen stream without a bridge
across the river. Due to the difficult transport conditions, the residents'
financial life is always low. In the dry season, the people can come and
go to centre of the commune and other areas to do business, but in the
wet season, most of the people are isolated by floods and can not produce
or purchase goods. The children find it difficult to go to school. They
must travel by boat, which affects their study and their lives. Written by:
